Book Club Monday

I am on a roll...I just finished last week's recommendation, The Couple Next Door and just started binge watching The Good Wife. Luckily for me it is free on Amazon Prime Video, you can also stream it on CBS.com!!!. OMG!! I am sooo hooked. I just finished season 1 and have 6 more to go. This was a recommendation from a bunch of readers but my husband's cousin Alexandra, really convinced me. What a treat. The story line is incredible. And, Mr. Big Chris Noth stars in it as well so how could I not love it!!!!!! Here is the plot....

THE GOOD WIFE is a drama starring Emmy Award winner Julianna Margulies as a wife and mother who boldly assumes full responsibility for her family and re-enters the workforce after her husband's very public sex and political corruption scandal lands him in jail.

Weekend Real Estate Stalking

I am obsessed with all things Tom Ford..I loved his collection for Gucci, years ago, I adore his lipsticks, every single shade, and most recently his fashion collection. So when I saw his London home that was for sale a while ago, I knew I had to share it with you. Fashionable Friend Friday

Today's Fashionable Friend Friday is the dynamic duo behind Lola NY in White Plains, Dawn and Denise. I have posted about this great find before...but in case you missed it, the first time, here's the back story! Many of my readers kept emailing me to check out Lola. My good friend Kelley decided that enough was enough and we had to plan a visit (Lola being one of her favorite local shops). Wow!! Was I blown away! Something Wonderful Can Happen Just About Anywhere

I decided to forgo Fall Fashion today or a hearty family-friendly recipe in order to share an amazing thing that happened to me tonight. I know we are all stressed with the never-ending obligations upon us. Perhaps you are having a bad week, or month or year even. Did that great deal just fall through? Is the election getting to you? Are you just so disappointed with the candidates that you cannot stop taking about it or is it a combination of everything? I am urging you to just take the time to step back and breathe. I had been running around most of this week, feeling that it really never ends. I stopped to get gas at 9, yes 9:00 P-M. I still had one more stop afterward and I was so ready to just throw in the towel. As I was standing at the pump, a car pulled in with the loudest music blasting. I just kept thinking he must have the worst hearing. Everyone at the gas station froze as if not knowing what really to do. Someone walked around to see who was disturbing our pumping peace. All of a sudden, one of the men started dancing next to his car and then someone else joined. The employees of the little shop came out to watch. The man next to me started singing. I looked around and stepped back. It did not matter that we were all strangers or where we were from or where we were going. No one saw color, or gender or even age. The entire group of people at the gas station at that moment in time were all enjoying themselves and this song brought everyone together for just those few fleeting moments. It was a beautiful thing for me and my daughter to see. I was sad to leave but off to CVS we had to go...back to reality!!!!!!! BTW Here is the song...I will always be brought back to this night from now on, when it plays!!!!!!!

All About The Blouse

I have a feeling this Fall is going to be all about the blouse. Off the shoulder, lace, bell sleeves, ruffle, tie front...we are going to see them all. There's nothing like having a perfect go-to blouse, in our closet, to pair with jeans or black pants, for a special event or a night out. I especially love the ones that are showcased below.
